XO Boats builds the most aggressive deep-V aluminium adventure boats to come out of Finland. Every XO pairs a military-grade aluminium hull with a GRP superstructure — rigid, durable, lightweight and corrosion-resistant. Whether the destination is an ice-edged Scandinavian fjord, a tropical reef, a professional work site or alongside a superyacht, XO is engineered to keep going when most boats turn back.
In December 2025, the XO EXPLR 44 took the Best of Boats Awards' top honours in the Best Big Boat category.

XO EXPLR 44
The XO EXPLR 44 is the brand's first aluminium adventure yacht — a true gem of naval architecture built to take you from the ice-covered seas of Scandinavia to the oceans of the Atlantic and Pacific in the comfort of a luxurious adventure home. With 8 mm stringers, a 5 mm aluminium hull and outboard options from 700 hp to 1,350 hp, the EXPLR 44 combines the rigidity of aluminium with up to 50 knots of performance. Up front, a Nordic-styled owner's cabin with double berth, head and shower; aft, a second full suite that can be configured as an atrium, twin singles or a large double with its own head. Together with an additional pilothouse bunk, the EXPLR 44 comfortably accommodates six overnight.

XO DFNDR 9
The award-winning DFNDR 9 is a true pathfinder — a centre-console multi-purpose boat that lets you keep exploring even in unknown waters. Adventure Boat of the Year 2023. Equipped with twin Mercury 225 V6 outboards the boat can reach 45+ knots top speed; the aft deck and bow convert into enormous sunbeds, while a private head and berths for two enable comfortable overnight stays. Built around a deep-V aluminium hull with state-of-the-art fibreglass for the upper structures, the DFNDR 9 is fun to drive yet works equally well for sport fishing and professional use.

XO DFNDR 8
The DFNDR 8 is the latest XO powerhouse, launched at Boot Düsseldorf 2023 — the perfect entry to the XO trailblazer family for those who want to take their boating to the next level. Available in two versions, the open configuration can be made more enclosed with optional fixed side windows and a fixed aft wall. Twin outboards from 2×225 hp up to a single 450 hp V8 push the DFNDR 8 past 50 knots, with the same uncompromising attitude and resilience of a true XO — equally at home sport fishing, day cruising or as a superyacht tender.

XO DSCVR 9 Open
Many words describe the DSCVR 9 Open — ordinary is not one of them. This is a day cruiser with the rebellious soul of a bow rider, the feel of a professional patrol boat, and the pace of a true speedboat. The stern converts to a BBQ party space for up to ten people, while deck areas and sunpads invite hours of sun-soaked leisure. For boaters with an active lifestyle who rejoice and relax by feeling the sea around them, the DSCVR 9 Open is the only open model in the XO range.

The aluminium superstructure lets you take your XO ashore without worrying about breaking the hull, and if a night at sea beckons, the front cabin sleeps two. Like every XO, it features the brand's renowned aluminium deep-V hull and can be fitted with air-conditioning and a heater.

XO EXPLR 9
Inspired by the Nordic environment, the EXPLR 9 is the first of XO's second-generation models, making its debut at Boot Düsseldorf 2020 and improved in 2021. With more width and volume than its predecessors, the EXPLR 9 gains extra stability and capacity without compromising its ability to perform. A spacious cabin with a bed that stretches to 230 cm, a well-equipped toilet and a full-size refrigerator make longer trips comfortable — and opening the roof hatch, standing up and letting the summer wind blow is the EXPLR 9 way of life.
